Central Penthouse Double Room Ensuite

Excellent location, well equiped Negative: A bit small

Solo expedition Positive: The location is ideally situated for a couple of days/long weekend exploring Gibraltar. The property in general was very clean including my room & bathroom. Value for money. Great water pressure + a fabulous shower. The facilities in the room were generous. Good heavy doors with sturdy locks. As a solo traveller I felt very safe Negative: The advertising for the accommodation was contradictory. It's listed as a Classic Suite which it was not. It was a (not particularly spacious) double room with an en suite. The photos provided would also suggest that the room was overlooking the street and had shuttered windows and a balcony. The room was actually at the back of the building, without shutters or a balcony. Whilst the facilities were generous, the room did not have a chair, which was a shame as there was room for one. In order to make full use of the facilities provided you would have to sit on your bed to eat, which would not be ideal for a couple. There was no full length mirror in the bedroom, although there was sufficient wall space for one to be fitted. The air conditioning unit was very noisy. You wouldn't be able to sleep in the heat of summer with the noise it made. There was a fan heater in the cupboard for chillier nights but it wasn't working. Somebody had turned the fridge up to MAX, which you wouldn't notice unless you were on your hands & knees. The food, milk & water I placed in the fridge on day 1 froze solid over night. The food stuffs and fruit were ruined when they had thawed out. There was lots of door banging on my 1st night and I can only assume that other residents were having some problems. Given that the accommodation has CCTV throughout I would have thought that the hosts would have attempted to resolve the issues with the residents, but can only assume this did not happen as the noisy door banging happened again the following night.

Positive: Location, lovely Spanish building, and very clean. Negative: Room was bland in decor, but very clean.

perfect in every way Positive: We stayed here for one night as we was getting married in Gibralter.The Guy we collected our keys from was extremely friendly ,welcoming and helpful on the day of our wedding he gave us prosecco to celebrate which we thought was a very kind gesture.Also on the day we departed the weather was torrential rain and he allowed us to leave our bags and scooters in the building till it was our departure time.The hotel is in a brillant location close to all amenities and in the rooms is a coffee machine and fridge, staff are top class,we would highly recommend and stay there again.Thank you for your hospitality.
